They had no souls and so were damned with nothing but the sin that lays in flesh and fear. For these are the only thing the Gelaceath knows and she laid within them now as a shadowed creature with golden eyes.}

I am a monster of the worst kind. I am born and my parents are robbed of the child they had hoped and dreamed of. Some of them still try to love me, others take it upon themselves to rid the world of me once again. Those who pity me will pay for their mercy in blood.

Sometimes I’m let grow to be thirteen. That’s when I change and the dae come to find me. Vile creatures who would only want me dead if I was not more valuable to them alive and simply broken. So it is the people around me who suffer. Parents, siblings, friends, and anybody whose pain would mean another scar into my being. And then I break and become the monster inside me. Reality tears around me and the dae are free to feast upon as many people who become trapped within.

But sometimes they fail. They press to hard and my body dies with the trauma. Sometimes the Holy Order or someone else finds me and punishes me for being bad. And then sometimes my sister will come and save me. Then I can maybe live another happy thirteen years.

Despite how many people hate me and how many people would kill me, I love this world. There are so many beautiful things here. All the woods and deserts and all the cities and waters. The kindness people are capable of, even if it’s not meant for me, is such a precious thing. It’s worth it to suffer if I can see these things again.

I want to know what it’s like to graduate from school. To find a job and make a wage. To find love and make children. And sometimes I am lucky enough to find these. But they rot in my fingers. I don’t want to hurt anyone anymore. If it is my death that is needed to protect this world than please deliver to me.

But I beg that it be just once and no more.

She is only a small girl aged only fourteen or so. Hair an ashen purple color and eyes that reflect the shades of sunset. Where she hails from, they are markers that a monster was born within this body. Traits belonging only to the mother of all demons, the Gelaceath. A creature dragged into the streets to be slaughtered.

Today is a more joyous occasion for her. Those little feet travel through her estate and passed the representation of her memories: shelves stacked with books. Some tomes are new and crisp, others falling apart with age, and many more dripping with stains that should not be remembered.

From these she selects one special book. One with a thick golden cover and many blank pages. Too large a story to be her own; this was a tale crafted by many. She carries it to a large red chair and sit with it cradled in her lap. Ripping one page from the beginning, the Gelaceath writes a message she has been carefully planning.

After it is finished and signed with her name she holds the page out and lets it fall into a hole. These holes are special. Something no other incarnation of her has ever had within their estate, a connection to another world. As she watches her words transform into data and stream into something called ‘the extranet’ she hopes that it finds those with open minds and open hearts.

Someone who will listen to her tales without fearing or hating her. She leaves the book open and waits for the words for her to speak appear. Her heart racing with a fragile hope.

‘Our world is in constant decline. Our people strive to move forward but our monsters lurk in the shadows only long enough to drag us down with them. Still, we fight and struggle against these odds. Our history is writ in heroics as much as blood.

‘I have lived many lives; most short. Sometimes I remember and sometimes I don’t. Sometimes I think events don’t have any purpose but perhaps they do. Something that’s even beyond my scope. I remember these lives now, our history. I think I am meant to tell you them if you will only listen.’

So, as some of you may know. I have this original universe in which Gelac Eath, Mamie Shep, and Chavali Baker are all involved. I’ve been taking some secret devious and probably annoying moves to try and garner interest in it. I’m just going to make a big push now and try and write a story for it with shadows of MERP characters in?

So you know. Send me a line if you’re interested. The more hype I garner the more successful it’s apt to be.
